Prospects for the use of rail robotized technical devices for the physical protection systems of nuclear facilities

The article discusses the promising possibilities of using robotic technical means for use in physical protection systems of nuclear energy facilities or similar enterprises. The functions of physical protection systems that can be fully or partially performed by such devices are indicated, for example, detection of violators and suspicious activity, provision of additional information to assess an alarming situation. The rail structures of such devices are considered in more detail, the possible advantages of using such robotic security devices are shown in terms of reducing the vulnerability of the facility, speeding up measures to respond to unauthorized access and increasing the overall effectiveness of physical protection systems for nuclear facilities.
