Prospects of nuclear power development in Russia

All industries are in constant dependence with the everincreasing scale of production and use of electricity. Therefore, it is the energy sector that plays a major role in the development of our country's economy. This article examines the relationship between technical and socio-economic progress and energy consumption per capita; identifies the main factors that allow to accelerate the development of the economy, based on energy development strategy; considers nuclear power as one of the most promising energy industries of our country.
