Prospects for development of new generation power plants at the JSC «Russian railways» energy strategy

The estimation of cost savings on fuel and energy resources in accordance with the Energy Strategy of JSC «Russian Railways» is given in the article. It presents the research priorities in the field of locomotive power plants of new generation. It is shown that the energy conservation strategy must take into account the optimization of energy consumption by technically achievable and economically viable activities.
