Prospects for the development of international cooperation of the Federal Customs Service of Russia in the field of regulating the turnover of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances

The article presents the relevance of the development and improvement of international cooperation between the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation and third countries in terms of regulating the illegal import of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances into the territory of the state. An analysis of the detection of drug smuggling over several years was carried out, the results of which revealed a number of problematic issues faced by customs authorities in the implementation of law enforcement activities. In conclusion, the conclusions of the study are presented, as well as the vectors of international cooperation to reduce drug trafficking.
