Prospects for the Development of International Programs of Russian Universities in the Context of Distance Learning

The authors of the article analyze the problems of exporting Russian education in the context of the introduction of distance learning. We have identifi ed groups of countries and regions that, for various reasons, demonstrate diffi culties in conducting distance educational cooperation with Russian universities. The factors that hinder the development of educational programs implemented in a distance form, according to the PEST methodology, are grouped. For the analysis, we used materials on the features of the mentality of students from China, as well as our own data on the implementation of distance education. With regard to short-term educational programs for citizens of the China, a conclusion was made on the need to shift the emphasis from programs for studying Russian language and culture to programs in economic areas. For university preparation training programs the authors recognize a remote format of blended learning, which combines classroom work in China and online classes with Russian teachers.
