The necessity to develop silicon industry in the Russian Federation is well found. The features oft of the silicon industry in the Russian Federation development are examined and systematized: the main enterprises working in this field and the projects supposed to be implemented, the home market features. Each project existed in the RF silicon industry is estimated with the relation to the future trends, weak and strong aspects are released, much promising and viable projects are determined. Possible ways to develop silicon industry in the Russian Federation are indicated.
