Since 2022, leading Russian banks, as well as many other significant economic entities, have faced a few significant restrictions because of the introduction of numerous sanctions in the form of disconnection from SWIFT, forced closure of correspondent accounts, restrictions on transactions, and others. The introduction of such blocking sanctions by European countries and the inclusion in the SDN list of the United States effectively eliminated the possibility for Russian banks to enter and develop in the European and US markets. Using the example of Sberbank PJSC and the companies of the SBER Group, innovative tools were analyzed to diversify the assets and profit centers of banks through transformation into a full-scale ecosystem, and the necessity of opening branches and introducing these tools in the Indian and Chinese markets as new areas of international work of Russian banks was justified. For more effective strengthening in the markets of these countries, it is proposed to supplement the traditional banking services with B2B and B2C services with the prospect of their further modernization into multi-level, complex cooperation with authorities and system-forming enterprises.
