The article considers factors that prove the relevance of the development of the driverless car market. The potential benefits of putting them into circulation are identified. Barriers to large-scale use of such vehicles are being studied, existing barriers are being systematized in accordance with marketing, technological and legislative aspects, and possible solutions to eliminate them are being proposed. The modern market is analyzed and conclusions about the prospects of market development are formulated.
