The article provides an analysis of the impact of the special legal status of a judge on his rights and duties. Prospects for the development of legislation in the field of determining the status of a judge is an important goal to achieve an increase in the stability of the judicial system as a whole, guarantee independence and a high level of qualification in their professional activities. This goal is conditioned by the need to provide judges with working conditions in which social guarantees will be able to protect them from any form of interference in judicial activity.
