The prospects of reforming of municipal economy sector (part 2)

Resuming the characterization of the features of the municipal economy sector and prospects of its reforming, the authors update their attention on the following important sectors of municipal economy: municipal water storages, the issues of organization of housing building and services of public utilities sector, organization of highway construction and enterprise, environmental issues, more specifically - collection and disposal of waste, ecology improvement, social service system as well as the problems with municipal finances. The paper provides some examples of successful experience of a number of regions, promoting rise in municipal economy. The authors come to the conclusion about the presence of significant potential and real prospects in the matter of reforming of municipal economy sector. The combination offair competition, private initiative and state regulation are the basis of municipal economy rise.
