Prospects for the balanced development of the region in the framework of the transition to an innovative development model

The article covers the need to achieve balanced and sustainable development for the regional economy. The concepts of "sustainable development", "balanced development of the region" are considered, the factors of balanced development of the regions are analyzed. The conclusion about the dependence of the dynamics of the development of regional innovation processes on the effectiveness of the existing innovation system in the region is made. The analysis of the implementation of the balanced development strategy is carried out on the example of the Kaluga region. The volume and structure of the gross regional product, the volume of attracting investments to the region, and indicators of the quality of life of the population are analyzed.
