Prospects for improvement of art. 333 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation in relation to peremptory (legal) penalties

This article considers issues related to the possibility of reducing the penalty established on the basis of the law in relation to entrepreneurial legal relations and legal relations involving consumers (individuals). Based on the analysis of the current provisions of the law, by-laws, as well as the existing law enforcement practice, possible ways to improve the normative regulation of this issue are proposed.
