Prospects of settling the conflict of Georgia with Abkhazia and South Ossetia

9 years have passed since the military conflict in Georgia and Russia's recognition of the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia. However, to date, the situation on the political settlement has not moved from the dead end. The international community does not recognize Abkhazia and South Ossetia, there are no diplomatic relations between Russia and Georgia, and many residents of the conflict zone can not return to their homes for many years. In this material, the positions of each of the parties are studied, various scenarios of the situation are considered, and the main problems that prevent the achievement of a compromise are highlighted.
