Prospects for the introduction of compulsory insurance of real estate in Russia

The author considered the actual problem of introducing a system of compulsory insurance of real estate (housing) from natural disasters and fires in Russia. After analyzing various opinions on this issue, analyzing foreign practice of application, considering the problem of compliance of this initiative with national legislation, the author came to the conclusion that this measure is positive, because it solves a number of acute problems. At the same time, negative factors have been identified that contribute little to the emergence of such an institution in our country.
