The article discusses the characteristics of the main binders used in the formulations of cataphoresis primers. It was found that the most suitable binders for the film-forming part are epoxy resins modified with polyester groups to give elasticity and polyamines whose primary amino groups are blocked by ketimines to give functionality due to the introduction of OH and NH groups neutralized by organic acids.
