Primary composition of rocks of the Nyarovey series (Polar Urals)

Nyarovey series is a poorly studied subject of the Central Ural region of Polar Urals. It is represented mainly by various shales. The primary composition and geodynamic conditions of shale formation are not well studied. The age of the series is accepted conditionally - RF2. The petrographic and petrochemical studies of the Nyarovey series resulted in definition of several groups of metamorphites, divided by their mineral and chemical compositions to ortho- and pararocks. Orthorocks are represented by metabasalts, metatuffs and metarhyolites. Pararocks are metapelites, metagraywackes, arkose and quartzite sandstones. These volcanic-sedimentary deposits seem to be formed in marginal oceanic or marginal marine settings.
