In 2018 geoarchaeological studies were resumed in the basin of Zabo-lotyepaleolake (Moscow Region) which is one of the relicts in the Dubna lowlands. Three years of large-scale surveys led to a drastic revision of our knowledge on quaternary geology and development of geomorphological conditions in the studied region. It was found that during the Last Glacial Period alluvial conditions of the genesis of relief predominated in this region rather than lacustrine conditions. The conditions of river low-lying flood-prone areas with an abundance of high rarely flooded areas were conducive to human settlement. The AMS dates obtained put this event around 15 500 years ago.
