The first results of the technical and technological analysis of the ancient settlement Timiryazevo III ceramics of the kulay cultural and historical community

The article is devoted to studying of the ancient settlement Timiryazevo III materials in the Tomsk Priobie relating to a final stage of kulay cultural and historical community (the III-IV centuries AD). The researches of a monument proceed some years, the ceramic complex including 267 vessels is received. The technical and technological analysis of 37 fragments from different vessels is carried out. The cultural traditions in a choice of plastic raw material and preparation of pottery paste are revealed. It is established that 57 % of vessels are made of ferruginated raw materials (from low ferruginated -43 %, mid ferruginated - 14 %) and 43 % from not ferruginated. The main differences between ceramics of various groups are connected with plastic raw material. On structure of pottery paste 2 vessels with the recipes including scree and chamotte are allocated. At production of other vessels the scree was added. The obtained data are close to studying results of ceramics from a settlement complex of Ryuzakovo that forms the basis for the assumption of ceramic traditions continuity within local Tomsk variety of kulay cultural and historical community.
