Бесплатный доступ

The first Russian yellow-seeded variety Kenar was developed in 2000-2017 by a method of multiple individual selection and self-pollination from the intraspecific rapeseed hybrid of crossed line L 3649100 (a progeny of yellow-seeded plant which seeds were treated by y-rays in dose 100 kr) and a variety Yarvelon. The new variety exceeded the standard variety Tavrion on seed yield by 0.29 t per ha, on oil yield - by 0.13 t per ha in Krasnodar environments. A share of yellow seeds in the new variety Kenar is 85%. Comparing with the variety Tavrion, the yellow-seeded variety Kenar has lower (by 5.2%) content of husk and fiber (by 3.5%). Oil and glucosinolate content in seeds of the new variety is equal to the same ones of the standard variety with black seed cover. The variety Kenar is recommended for seed production in nine regions of the Russian Federation. In conditions of the Omsk region in 2017-2018, this variety demonstrated seed yield up to 1.87-1.97 t per ha, oil content - 52.2-53.0% that is higher of the standard variety Kupol. In the Lipets region seed yield of the variety Kenar was equal to the standard variety Rif - 1.23 t per ha.
