Petitional campaigns of the Ural orthodox believers against the closing of the churches in the late 1950 - mid-1980s

The article deals with the main forms of Orthodox struggle against the reduction n the number of churches in the late 1950 - mid 1980s. - open conflicts of believers with power, sit-in strikes, mass complaints and petition campaigns. The struggle for religious institutions, although it has not changed the party’s general line regarding religion and the Church but softened the attacks on the church organization, restrained the policy of reduction of Orthodox parishes.
