Food and processing industry of the Trans-Urals region of the Republic of Bashkortostan: current state, problems and prospects of development

This article analyzes the current state, problems and prospects for the development of the food and processing industry in the Trans-Urals region of the Republic of Bashkortostan. It is considered as one of the priority "growth points" of this sub-region, which for many years has been classified as depressed and subsidized. The need to adjust regional and municipal programs for the development of the rural economy, including by supporting the development of the food and processing industry in rural areas, has been actualized. The prospects for the formation of agro-industrial clusters, both in the form of agricultural holdings and in the form of multi-level cooperatives, are outlined.
