The aim of the article is to analyze the relation between writing and reading in the process of language learning. It gives examples of research in the field of influence that writing and reading has on literacy development, thinking ability and meaning making. The article tries to prove the importance of using the both activities as an inseparable language tool in various kinds of classrooms. It defines issues that must interest researchers and teachers interested in the importance of writing and reading for learning achievements.
