Food defence companies working youth in Siberia in the war years (1941–1945)

The article is devoted to the study of quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the supply of young workers in defense plants in Siberia 1941–1945. It shows the changes in standards of products and issuance of calories consumed by boys and girls in factory canteens. The author concludes that, despite improvements in nutritional standards, quality remained very low due to the predominance in the diet of young workers, low-calorie plant foods.
