Five traditional Japanese swords with XVIII - XX centuries mounts from private collections in Russia and china

The article dwells upon five unique Japanese nihonto swords (tachi, nodachi, kodachi) with richly decorated XVIII - middle XX century's mounts. These swords were used in Japan by samurai social layer representatives, and now are a part of the private collections in Beijing (China) and Russia. Detailed descriptions of blades and mount parts provide new information about traditional Japanese blade arms complex as well as traditional decorative styles. Such traditional sword mounts have been produced in Japan in XVIII-XIX centuries for a ceremonial use with other weapon of samurai arms and armor complex.
