Pharyngoplasty in patients after laryngoectomy

A comparison of different ways for covering of the anterior wall of the pharynx were performed in a group of 60 patients with laryngeal cancer after combined modality treatment. It was estimated that traditional methods of the pharyngoplasty are associated with a high complication rate (26,7 %) and long duration of the procedure (5,8 months). Authors has announced original method of the pharyngoplasty that allows to reduce a complication rate to 5 % and the duration of the procedure up to 1,5 months
