Pleiotropy of erectoid leaf genes on vegetative period in sunflower

Erectoid leaf genes Er, er1 and er2 have an pleiotropic action on vegetation period with three days increasing that for 11 populations of F2. The action depends on crosses with maximum effect of five days. That should be take into account in breeding program for compact habitus of a plant.
