Продольное плоскостопие — гетерогенная группа состояний, для которых характерно снижение высоты продольного свода стопы. В обзоре анализируются фундаментальные и современные источники литературы, отражающие продолжающуюся дискуссию отечественных и зарубежных специалистов о причинах формирования продольного плоскостопия у детей. Представлены литературные данные о возрастной динамике развития стоп, эпидемиологии плоскостопия в детском возрасте, влиянии плоскостопия на биомеханику стопы и походки. Освещены основные методы диагностики продольного плоскостопия.
