Why in the list of disciplines of library and information undergraduate course should be introduced "Documentology" instead of "Records keeping"

The article suggests that the course «Records keeping» read for bachelors in the direction of training "Library and information activity" is misleading, since the term «Documentology» ("Document science") has long been rightly occupied with another direction of training bachelors. In addition, its content in the library and information departments largely suffers from isolation from the actual needs of training librarians. The necessity to replace this course with "Documentology" as a General theory of the document is substantiated and the substantial part of the content of the proposed course is revealed.
