Soil microorganisms degrading wide spectrum of technogenous compounds

The analysis of soil samples that were subjected to intense technogenous effect has been carried out, and the spectrum of major organic pollutants has been determined. Bacterial strains capable of using mono-, and polyaromatic hydrocarbons and halogen-substituted aromatic carboxylic acids as growth substrate have been isolated from soil samples. The isolated bacteria-destructors were referred to belong to genera Deinococcus, Cellulomonas, Micrococcus, Planococcus, and Pseudomonas.
