The article discusses the contradictions between the world powers on Manchuria and the causes of the armed uprising in China in 1900-1901 years. The purpose of this article is to define the role of the Cossacks in the suppression of the Boxer Rebellion in China. Russian-Chinese war, which began in the capital of China’s Zhili province, a month later reached the Russian border. The fighting affected the territory of Russia and near Blagoveshchensk were the most fierce and prolonged. And directly involved in these battles played Cossacks. On the basis of archival documents, the author shows that the Cossacks, due to their courage and organization, directly participated and played an important role in this event.
