Preparation for public speaking in foreign language teaching at higher education institutions

The paper summarises techniques of teaching public speaking skills as an integral part of supra-professional competencies for graduates of higher educational institutions. The necessity of such competency at all stages of a career trajectory is emphasised. Challenges encountered at the preparation and main steps of public speaking practices are highlighted, including creation of multi-media presentations.
