This article deals with the topical issues of speech pathologists training to work with persons with moderate and severe mental retardation in the multi-level learning model. The author suggests a variant of professional competences formation of the Bachelors and Masters with major in Special (Speech Pathology) Education by projecting elective courses in accordance with the students’ choice.
