The article deals with the issues related to the readiness of future primary school teachers to carry out activities to formulate and develop functional mathematical literacy in modern conditions. The authors thoroughly study the problem using Russian scientific and pedagogical literature. Preparation of the future primary school teacher for the activity in the formation of functional mathematical literacy is presented in the form of a holistic system that includes many elements. The author suggests tasks for tutorials into Methodology of teaching Mathematics.
