Approach to formation of network route metric

An approach to the assignment of metric values of alternative network routes of information and computing networks is considered. It is based on the analysis of statistical data on the number of lost network packets passing through all alternative routes during a certain time interval, the identification of the laws of the distribution of lost network packets in this interval for each route and the formulation of the value of the metric associated with each route.
