An approach to estimating the frequency of spectral component by low-resolution spectrum of digital signal

Бесплатный доступ

This paper examines certain methods of obtaining the exact frequency of the spectral component from the signal spectrum with insufficient resolution in order to clarify the accuracy of these methods and their applicability. The basic principles and the sequence of actions are given for the implementation of parabolic interpolation and frequency demodulation. These methods are applied to a synthesized signal containing a frequency component that cannot be determined directly from a low-resolution spectrum. The methods considered differ in the complexity of calculations and the accuracy of the results obtained. An introduction is made about the applicability of the considered methods for various tasks of vibration diagnostics. Purpose of the study. The article examines methods for obtaining an accurate frequency of a spectral component from a signal spectrum with insufficient resolution. The aim of the study is to determine the accuracy and applicability of the described methods.
