Approaches to the analysis of the communication in collaborative online - learning

There are a lot of studies on the results of online collaborative learning, such as academic performance, the difference between full-time and distance learning, social and cognitive presence. Equally important is the study of the process of collaborative learning itself. The article presents approaches to the analysis of the communication in collaborative distance learning. The described approaches were the assessment of levels of disagreement, argument structure analysis, interaction based approach and content analysis, including using a neural network.
