Approaches to foreign language teaching in academic and professional environment

This article describes the main approaches in teaching languages for specific purposes in modern linguodidactics; the main concepts and terms were considered in English speaking and Russian speaking scientific traditions of LSP teaching. Having examined and analyzed the experience of different approaches implemtation in Russian experience of teaching Russian as Foreign Language, the authors came to conclusion that the most suitable way of teaching RSP might be contect-language integrated approach where some means of distance and blended learning might be used.
