Approaches to the definition of an individual educational trajectory in the works of domestic researchers

In recent years, researchers have been actively discussing the prospects of applying individual educational trajectories in the educational process of higher education institutions. Individual educational trajectory is one of the possible and effective ways to create the necessary conditions for the development of students' subjectivity. The Russian Federation already has positive experience of partial implementation of the individual educational paths model in practice. A number of leading Russian universities are already sharing their experience, including St. Petersburg State University, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Institute of Social Sciences, Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B. N. Yeltsin, Tyumen State Technical University, and the Higher School of Economics Research University. Nevertheless, there is no consensus in the literature as to what should be understood as an individual educational trajectory. The article considers different approaches to the definition of the term "individual educational trajectory" in the works of domestic researchers, and highlights its key features.
