Some approaches to interpretation of stability and satisfaction with marital relations

The article presents a brief analysis of the psychological and educational literature on the issue of marital relations. The author differentiates the concepts of social and psychological satisfaction with marital relations. The three degrees of adaptability to partner are described. The author has found correlation of marriage satisfaction with professional activities of both partners, financial condition of the family, segregation of domestic work between spouses, length of premarital period. The factors of successful marital relationship are discussed.
