Approaches to psychometrics of sychological states

The paper is dedicated to consideration of some problems related to diagnostics of psychological states. Basic conceptual characteristics of psychological states are presented. The classification of techniques of assessment (with brief commentaries) is proposed. The general demands to experimental techniques are formulated. The peculiarities of determination of psychometric quality criteria (validity, reliability, discriminatory power) in regard to psychological states are discussed. According to the author's viewpoint, when measuring indices of a psychological state, in the first place it should be leant on individual norms.
