Approaches to regulation of responsibility for murder of newborn child by mother

This article highlights various methods of legislative regulation of liability for crimes related to the murder of newborns. There are three main ways to consolidate and apply these norms: the introduction of an independent composition with mitigating circumstances, the establishment of several norms depending on the characteristics of the crime and qualification as a simple murder. The article analyzes the evolution of legislation from the reduction of punishment to the introduction of a privileged composition, emphasizing the humanitarian aspects and changes in the perception of the socio-cultural community. The paper examines these approaches taking into account the cultural, social and ethical characteristics of different countries, as well as discusses their evolution and impact on the perception of criminal responsibility in the context of newborn murders.
