Approaches to solving problems during technical forensic examinations on occupational safety

Conducting forensic technical examinations on occupational safety in criminal cases related to industrial accidents is a difficult task. For their implementation, not professional experts are involved, but occupational safety specialists who face a number of specific problems in the process of work. This is due to the specifics of activities in the field of occupational safety and industrial safety, which is based on a large number of laws and regulations, as well as local regulations of the enterprise. At the same time, when conducting occupational safety examinations, it is necessary to rely on knowledge of physics, mathematics, chemistry, as well as technological processes, equipment, devices and tools of enterprises where the accident occurred. Currently, there is no real methodology for conducting such examinations. In the literature there are only approximate plans for their implementation.This work is based on the experience of the author’s participation in conducting technical forensic examinations on occupational safety for accidents that occurred in various industries. The article deals in sufficient detail with 11 main problems related to research during occupational safety examinations. The article will be useful to specialists conducting such examinations, as well as investigators, to improve the quality of their work.
