Subacute toxicity of a nanosized feed additive

Бесплатный доступ

Objects with sizes of the nanorange in at least one dimension, the structure of which is modified in a controlled manner, are considered to be manufactured using nanotechnology. When creating nano- and micro-objects, the physical and chemical properties of nano- and macroanalogues may differ, so it is necessary to establish their toxicity. Nanosized bentonite was obtained by ultrasonic treatment of bentopowder. Their shape and size of particles differ significantly. When determining the subacute toxicity of nanosized bentonites, no mortality of animals was detected, no deviations in their behavior, appearance were found, and no pathological changes in organs and tissues were detected during a diagnostic autopsy. The growth-stimulating effect of nanosized bentonites was noted in amounts of 0.6-2.4 % to the dry matter of the diet. The highest rates are set when using 1.2 %.
