Beads have been rarely found in burials of the Pazyryk culture in the Altai Mountain region. In 2003, a set of multicolored glass beads were recovered from a female burial of kurgan 35 at the Scythian cemetery of Chultukov Log 1 in the lower Katun basin. The full set consists of 18 multicolored beads. Color combination on the beads: turquoise, white, brown and violet. This set can be listed among the best breast decoration sets of the Pazyryk Period. The grave goods from this tomb suggest its attribution to the period not later than the threshold of the 5th - 4th centuries BC. Analogues to the bead sets can be found in the personal decorations recovered from necropolises in the Northern Pontic region. The multicolored bead set can be regarded as an early example of the imported goods to the Altai region.
