Burials with cromlech near the northern foothill of Mashuk mountain

During the examination of the Energetik burial ground of the Koban culturelocated near Pyatigorsk a burial construction with a cromlech made of vertically installedstone slabs was uncovered. Scarce finds allow us to date it to the early Scythian period,i. e. the second half of the 7th century - the early 6th century BC. The closest similar constructions of this design have been identified among Late Bronze Age sites in Abkhaziaand South Ossetia
