In the science of our country there are no generalizing works on the belt decorations of the Omsk Irtysh Area of the early and developed Middle Ages. With a view to the solving of the given problem we have generalized data on the belt decorations of the Potchevash (V-VI - IX centuries) and the Ust-Ishym (X - the first third of the XIV centuries AD) cultures. We have determined their basic features, carried out the search of analogies. For the Potchevash culture (Okunyovo III) - in complexes of the VI-IX centuries AD in Bashkiria and Kama Area, Central Asia and Altai. For the Ust-Ishym (Ust-Ishim I, Panovo I, Malaya Bicha IV, Kipo-Kulary III) - in complexes of the X-XIV centuries in Kama Area, Ob Area, Bolshezemelskaya Tundra. In the early and developed Middle Ages in the Omsk Irtysh Area the amount of belt decorations surpasses the Lower, Surgut, Tomsk and Novosibirsk Ob Area and Trans-Ural. Within the limits of one monument coexisted imported decorations from the South (Altai, Kazakhstan) and the West (Kama Area). During the early Middle Ages dominated Turkic, during developed - Srostki's decorations. Some belts were clasped by buckles with traditionally local design - image «the bear's head between front legs» (Malaya Bicha IV), or mirror doubled elk heads (Panovo I). The given images are polymorphic. Plots are interpreted and characterized from the point of view of mythological and shaman ideas about the world around.
