Бесплатный доступ

Studying aspects of literary translation the author considers the correlation of notions «poeticity» and «genre». Poeticity is regarded as the typological dominant of the poetic text. It constitutes the essential property distinguishing poetic texts from other types of texts and subject to representation in the TT. The analysis of a sonnet by W. Wordsworth illustrates the dependence of poeticity on the genre of the poem. The correlation of poeticity and genre is interpreted in the terms of common and individual. Poeticity of a genre is defined as the integrity of the artistic idea, emotivity, imagery and aesthetic verbal form which characterize this type of literary texts.
