One of the early stories written by Sadovsky is analyzed in the article. Sadovsky’s creative heritage should be referred to as still undiscovered or forgotten literary phenomena.The world of XIX century noble estate is described through the categories of time and space. In the article the characteristics of characters and symbols are given, lyricism of the story is revealed; the linguistic skill of the writer is shown.
