The poetics of Sultan Raev’s short stories

It is known that literary and cultural growth in the countries of the former Soviet Union slowed down significantly in the first years of independence. However, some representatives of Kyrgyz literature gradually got out of the current situation and tried to find their way. It can be said that in the era of independence, the short story as a small genre of literature, which occupies a worthy place in Kyrgyz prose, nevertheless managed to dominate. One of the most striking examples is the national writer and playwright Sultan Raev. The origin of the work of the writer S. Raev began with a story. The author's works turned out to be very impressive, and gradually they acquired a special place and importance in Kyrgyz prose. The relevance of the article lies in the fact that the works of the Kyrgyz national writer have been little studied and today there are practically no specific studies of the author's works by genre. The article examines the author's stories and their thematic feature.
