Currently, in the world community, vaccination is considered as the most economical and affordable means of fighting infections and a way to achieve active longevity for all social strata of the population of developed and developing countries. In a country with inexpensive treatment of childhood diseases, full coverage of their vaccination is considered the most effective method. For infectious diseases, immunization is the main and leading preventive measure in the mechanisms of transmission of infection and the development of persistent post-infectious immunity. The indicators of vaccination prevention are evaluated according to three groups of criteria: indicators of documented vaccination (vaccination coverage), indicators of immunological or clinical effectiveness and indicators of epidemiological effectiveness.
